Jack Welch was chairman and CEO of General Electric from 1981 to 2001, leading the company through two decades of expansion. He wrote the memoir Jack: Straight from the Gut and, with his wife Suzy Welch, the Wall Street Journal bestseller Winning, founded the Jack Welch Management Institute in 2009 and died in 2020.
