Jim Goodnight is co-founder and CEO of SAS Institute, the analytics software company he started in 1976 with colleagues from North Carolina State University, where he earned his PhD and taught. He is known for building an employee-focused workplace culture at SAS and co-founded Cary Academy, an independent school, in 1996.
