Richard Montañez began as a janitor at Frito-Lay's plant in Rancho Cucamonga, California, and rose to become a marketing executive at Frito-Lay/PepsiCo, retiring in 2019. He tells his story in the 2021 memoir Flamin' Hot, and his life is the subject of the 2023 film of the same name directed by Eva Longoria.
